Default hard water spots

the sprinklers outside my house turn on at 10 pm every day. so therefore i get hard water spots on the rear of my car easily. i was asking around and outside of a 300 dollar buff, nobody really knows anything to remove them. i've tried just about everything, even polishing compound. anybody else got a secret to remove this? how about mothers clay bar? anyone try it before. I've wasted so much money trying to find something to use, and nothing yet.

Thanks

I've used claybars to get rid of the water spots. You can also use the claybars on glass too - they work really good to remove a lot of excess crud on the glass. Just make absolutely SURE you wax the car after you use a claybar because it removes any wax/protectant you had on there!

Well, i tried the claybar the other day by suggestion of a friend. It works great on my car! unfortunately, not on the rear of my car. even after the clay bar and a solid wax job, it still leaves weird spots on my car. I think the clearcoat has been eaten away from those spots looks like i need to get a new paintjob on the rear of my car. i got the front of my car repainted thanks to the guy who hit me, he also gave me my new hood too! haha. looks like im just going to have to suck it up and dish out the cash for it this time. i was thinking about getting a custom paintjob anyways, im gonna stick with black, but i'd like to mix in another color somehow. any ideas?
