Engine Detailing

Oh I'm ready for this world series.
If the Phillies win, I get a day off of work
However growing up in NEPA with a whole family from NY, I grew up a Yankees fan...
so I'm torn! haha

Here is what I have done for many years on my cars. I will not drive a car with a dirty engine! First I spray everything with Purple power http://www.clean-rite.com/ you can find it at auto zone etc. I get the big gallon container and poor it into a spray bottle. Let it sit for 5-10 mins. Then I use a power washer can clean it all off. Obviously be careful where you spray the power washer. Then I use compress air (or leaf blower ;-) to dry it out. Water will sit on the top of a 3800, so I blow that out real good. Then after it is dry I spray CRC Engine Stor Fogging Oil (google it) on the block, wires connections, anything that will corrode. It is an oil that clings and lasts. Spray it on the aluminum block/Trans and it make it look much better. The first time it will soak up a bit so you may have to do it a few times. The down side to the CRC is that it will collect dust. So I don’t put it on the plastics and hoses. On those I use good old armor all..
I have done this to MANY cars and I have had no problems. Your mileage may vary so I take no responsibility…
