yeah I usually use a leaf blower to dry my car then Ill go over it with detail spray

 

My CA duster is machine washable - I toss it in the washer every so often

I won't use them. I have a detail shop and you see alot of the "show" guys using them that bring their cars in that end up scratching them all up and I have to buff out. Usually if my car is dusty enough to need wiping I just wash it and that prevents dragging dust and whatever all over. Otherwise it's microfibers and a good spray wax.

 

Always have the Calif. duster in the trunk. I just beat it on the fence or storage bld walls to knock off the excess dust. I too use the water blade to help reduce the drying time removes 80% of the water and then drying is pretty quick from there.

You should dust off your car before putting the cover on it. That way dust particles are not trapped under the cover and when the wind blows the cover about your not chaffing the car's paint. And your car cover will be clean and not have dust adhered to it's underside and then getting on and scratching up the cars paint when you put it back on. You should also dust off your car cover before removing it so when you roll it up and fold it your not getting dust all trapped on the reverse of the cover again.

LOL, so simple and so many little things to stay on top off.

It's nice your moving your car care skills up to the next level and doing the car cover and Calif. duster routine, it's going to make your maintenance much simpler.

 

I use a California duster, but I use it lightly. Never use a lot of pressure or you will get scratches.

 

Must be pretty sweet to pick one up for $12. They are like $30 here. Even the dash duster is $20.

I have both and I replace it annually

 

X2.... you never want to bear down on the duster very light touch and I shake mine out after each sweep
