Jay Leno's 75 Duster....Keeping a memory
Jay Leno is a really down to earth guy. I grew up about twenty miles from him in Massachusetts. That is quite an undertaking to put a 426 Hemi into a Duster and then supercharge it. I am glad the car will be preserved. It is sad that the guy that built it didn't get to enjoy it very long. My 75 Duster won't be anywhere near as radical as that one. Looks like an awesome car.
Glad this got posted I seen it last night but was on my phone so I couldnt post it. I have heard several stories like this about Jay Leno. I like that he will actually do more on a project then just write a check. Not like most celebrity's. He also writes for popular mechanics magazine. Here is the link to his site. Jay Leno's Garage

It took me a while until I could sit and watch the video. Sweet car and a cool project shoving a Hemi in there!!
That is such a situation, the original owner/builder knowing his days are limited and wants to find a home for what is clearly a prized piece of life's work. It's like giving away your children when you are that vested into the project. It's really a sad story.
