Default Hypertech Power Programmer III

I have decided to purchase one over the DHP software for now. I found a great price @ $316 shipped.

Hypertech claims a dyno tested 16 HP and 19LB increase to the wheels.

I guess I'll have to wait till next year for the DHP software.

Part number 30030

You said you were ordering the programmer over the net. And it took 1 day? And you dropped 316 dimes on it . Life must be good. [sm=bling.gif]

I actually ordered it Monday, it took one day to process. It was sent FedEx 3-day but arrived a day early.

Is it 5:00 yet....

well, it's been a month, what's the word? Have you tuned it and dyno'd it yet?

I have not dyno'd it yet, but the performance addition is noticeable and well worth the $$$...

I busted 130MPH a couple of weeks ago. I think it will go 140-150 easily. My RPMS were humming around 4G once I got it into top gear. I did notice that gear 3 to 4 needs to be adjusted cause I tapped out RMPS right before **** change @ WOT.

I plan to make more adjustments next weekend. I'll let ya know how it goes.

Are you gonna get one??

I think it would be worthwhile if it could net me some needed hp and a few ft lbs of torque, maybe a lil more mpg, that'd be nice too! I don't plan on doing anything other than bolt on's, I may even call it quits after I do the exhaust and intake. Do you think getting the HyperTech would be worth it given the lack of mods I am planning? Am I being realistic in my expectations of it if I were to get one? I wish you had gotten a baseline dyno, and again after the tuning, but oh well, butt dyno's are [8D]

It's been well worth it even if I did not gain HP. I have been able to adjust shift points, firmness and RPM & MPH limits. I know I have gained some HP but not sure how much. I can always revert back to factory settings if I want.

Do you have a 3.4L or 3.8L?

I've got the 3.4

firmness of what?

do you have any plans on getting it dyno'd? If so, is there a way to save your current setup, go back to factory settings, do a pass, then reset back to your saved settings and make another pass?
