Default Whining / Grinding When Turning

As of late, my car has been having a number of issues. Turning to the left seems to be causing a lot of whining noise and a grinding feeling from the drivers' side front wheel. Sometimes the "Traction Control Active" message appears on the indicator screen. I think the wheel hub might be bad, and the car's computer thinks something isn't spinning as it should, compensating with the traction control. The whining/grinding sound and noise is pretty bad. I was told a few months ago when I needed my braked replaced that something was wrong with the drivers' front. I don't remember if he said hub or not though. I need to take it to a shop this week. Solutions?

Thumbs up

Sounds like a bad hub bearing and or possible speed sensor. I wouldn't continue to drive it til you get it repaired.

Typically when it happens when you are turning left it is the passenger side hub.

If you can't do this job yourself, I hope you have a good $800 to replace both hubs. Throw in the brakes if it's done at the same time and you might be looking at a $1000 shop bill.

Dude, drive SLOW, trust me, playing with wheels is nothing, esp the hub, nothing to scoff at. I will check my suspension ASAP if I were you.

I don't need my brakes done now, just had them done remember, Mike? It's definitely the driver's side wheel though. I guess I'll call up a mechanic ASAP. The cost is really gonna suck. But since it's a legit fix, my dad pays for all the repairs since it's technically his car. I pay for any unnecessary mods.
