Question wheel has some "play" in it.

hey all. i have a problem with my left front wheel and thought id drop by the best forum around. i have noticed for a little while that around 35-45 MPH there is a small almost griding noise? its kind of hard to explain. but i can feel it at my feet and in the pedals. but my steering wheel does NOT vibrate. i jacked the car up tonight and noticed that if you push on the wheel it moves a little. including the brake rotor as well. the other side is rock hard. What could be the problem?

x2. Grinding/gowling sound while driving and play in the wheel, definately a wheel bearing.

Sounds like you need new front hub bearing / wheel bearing should take care of your traction control problem ...

I don't think I would buy a wheel bearing from E-bay for $40? I know the price seems good but I think you should look for a better quality bearing. I bought one for my 06 from amazon made by Timken.... and yes it will fix your trac control problem!

sounds like a wheel bearing to me too. a new wheel bearing should also take care of the traction control problem as well

Timken is a good aftermarket part and still like half the price of a GM one. I would be wary of the EBay parts
