Default Wheel Bearing questions

My 06 LT started making a deep buzzing noise back in February right after i got new tires. I thought it was just noisy new tires and it would wear off as the tires broke in, but it didnt. Finally decided to take it back to the dealer and they tell me the rear wheel bearings are bad and want $660 to replace them both! Went to an auto parts store and the bearings are $160 a piece. Are these things a pain to replace on your own? Does my MC have the ABS for the rear wheels? Are bearings from an online store just crap or can i trust them if they are 60 bucks cheaper?

Thanks for any help everyone!

you can replace your own hubs for alot cheaper and have the pleasure of doing your own work. you have abs on fronts and rears i believe. i bought my hub from ebay from a dealer with lifetime warranty. cost $57 shipped with abs. havent installed it yet but will in a few weeks. i believe the brand i got was autosport or something like that

a lifetime warrenty is usually lifetime of the part. not lifetime of you. thats the catch. and yeah, there is abs in the back too because abs cant just controll the front, it would send your rear spinning around to infront of you due to inertia. it isnt hard, as long as you have the correct tools. and deffinatly saving you alot compaired to 660.

Got the new hubs installed today. No problems with the new parts whatsoever and the car is a hell of alot quieter.

I did it myself. Never done it before so it took me around 5 hours. Had to beat the brake discs and hubs off the car. But its done and the wheels havent fallen off yet. For 5 hours of my time and 200 dollars in parts i think it was worth it.
