what size is the stock sway bar?

If you don't know, a VIN decoder would be the way to find out. If you have an SS, odds are you have the FE3 suspension. I've heard that some W-bodies got an FE4 suspension, including some Montes, but I don't know anything about it. I did a little Googling, and some places believe the FE3 cars got a ~34mm front bar, but some other sites disagree. If I had an FE3 car, I'd go home and measure it for you (it's in my floor, I've got a Dorman bar) but I had the FE1 "Comfort Suspension."

Well, here's my opinion. You really only notice a larger sway bar over offset bumps, ad substantial single wheel bumps. It makes no difference in impact harshness, only "head toss." Personally, I think the roll resistance offered by a larger bar far outweighs the ride penalty. Driving the stock suspension is similar to piloting your mattress, suspended over the road by a single spring in the middle. If that's what you want, more power to you, and i'm not trying to judge or give you crap about it, I'm just trying to let you know what you're getting into. If you're thinking about going to an FE1 setup, I'd drive a car with it first.
