Ok guys my rims dont look like they did when there were first bought about 2 years ago.... they were all shiny and glossy and the alumminum would shine like crazy.... but now they dont i have tryed everything to polish up the alumminum so it would bling and finally am fed-up with it and decided i wanna paint the rims all together but really undecided on what direction to take with them...... so i got about 3 ideas in mind......

1. Was thinking of going all black..... a Matt black to be exact

2. Going a Gun-Metal Grey color with a nice coat of clear

3. Going with a High gloss Black with a red strip on the lip?


so what do u guys suggest i want honest answers about my ideas and if possible more suggestion on color sceams heres a link to a picture of my car and thanks in advance

if anything, gloss would look a lot better than matt black. just not so sure on the red stripe. the rims still look nice to me though, did you try a brillo pad against them with elbow grease?!

 

yup tryed that and with very minimal result......

 

I think you should get the black again. but dont paint them. Powder coat it. It will hold up a whole lot better.

 

battleship gray metallic, and yes i agree, powder coat them.

 

Silver (paint matching) spokes and a high gloss black lip. Mmmmm!
