Question upgrading

Im thinking of getting new shocks, struts, and maybe even lowering my monte. I wanna know the best way to go about this without doing anything wrong to the car. My friend says that I shouldnt lower it because the front end of the car tends to hit when going up driveways. any suggestions??thanks

What year/model Monte Carlo do you have ?
How low do you want 2 `go ?
What size tires/rim's do you have, or do you plan on
putting on your Monte ?
What is your Budget $'s 4 Suspension change ?

your front end most likely isn't actually hitting as you think. There is an air reflector a piece of plastic in the front of our cars that usually does some scraping, not actually the front bumper. I usually just try to pull out more sideways than straight on to prevent that.

But I would recommend doing KYB GR2 Struts, and SSC springs, and a set of anti-pogo washers. All found on ZZPerformance.com (under grand prix and then suspension/brake)

The only way to go for lowering (as in the best way)

Eibach Springs

KYB-AGX Struts

I have a torch red 03 monte carlo. I was thinking 1 inch drop. I would like to keep a budget of around $800, but if its a little more then I can stretch a little. The thing I am most worried about is hitting the front from dips on street or turning onto drive ways. But I also want the handeling performance. I notice if I am turning on a graded interchange/on ramp and there is a bump on it the car tends to seem as though the back end wants to fishtail.

04 intimidator's way is more expensive but nicer handling and fully adjustable.

my way will be a little cheaper but not as great of handling and not adjustable.

lowering your car is always going to change the way you drive with dips and inclines.

Just curious, not really planning to, but do these items also fit the 06-07 Monte's?
