I've heard people consider Michelin to be the best street tire.

I've used them on my car before, and I didn't like them. I think they make a better truck tire than car tires personally. Just depends on if you want to buy a set of tires once or twice a year or every other year. And at the $900 I spent on the Michelins, I won't do that again.

Also, you haven't said what size you are running. It could be anything from 16's to 18's, and that makes a big difference on availability.

Also, DON'T BUY SUPERCAR TIRES AT WALMART!!!!

For my car I love my Michelins if I had the chance again though I'd get Goodyear Assurance Tripletreds though. For my truck I love my BFGs Coopers and Goodyears so I had to go with the first choice.

I'm running 235/50R18's.

I'm also looking at the new Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3, which will be released this summer. It's an all-season tire, so off topic here, but nonetheless it's on my list. Obviously Goodyear Eagle RS-A and Pirelli P Zero Nero (what I'm running now) are still considerations as well, but I'm not likely to go with them as I want an upgrade.

The Michelin Pilot Super Sports have an great review base. I've actually read quite a bit of reviews saying they're a significantly quiet tire. Those are probably at the top of my list right now, however I'm being realistic with my choice because what percentage of the total potential of the Super Sport would I be using? I have to look further into the tires I'm considering and see what works best for the price and life of the tire.

A friend of mine is an assistant manager at one of the large chain tire stores and he recommended Michelin hands down.

I ran the previous model, slightly different trend pattern, a few years back and enjoyed them very much on my Cavalier. I ran 225/45/18

I need new tires as well (car still has the OE tires) and will order these:

255/45-18 GOODYEAR EAGLE F1 SUPERCAR 99W VSB SP

$119.00 each at: https://www.onlinetires.com/products...9w+vsb+sp.html

I previously had these tires on 18x9" Torq Thrust M wheels. They look great, have good traction, smoke nicely, but they don't have a very long tread life...No problem for me - my Monte only sees about 6k miles per year
