Default Traction control please read

03 Monte Carlo SS 162,000 miles. Replaced hubs for the first time, didn't fix the dash lights coming on. Didn't really expect it to, so now I will replace the wiring harness to the hubs. So my question is does anyone have pictures where these lines connect under the air box or are they spliced in? I found one connection under the box but it is a ground to something. Any help would be appreciated.

Which hubs did you replace? The rear ones can also set off the lights.

Replaced the front hubs. When the light comes on I can feel it in the front. The ABS system makes noise only in the front not the back. I know I may have to replace the rears eventually.

You need to get the ABS code read. You probably replaced the hubs for no reason. What you feel is the traction control system turning on, then realizing it's on for no reason, then the Trac Off and ABS light coming on.

The ABS code should tell you which tire faulted.

The hubs were gone they had to be replaced anyway. Auto zone says they can read abs codes but nothing showed when they scanned it. And yes the lights were on when they did it. Is there someone else that I could take the car to read the codes? I'm not really into throwing money I don't have to fix things. Thanks for your help!

Autozone can't read ABS codes, they can only read the OBDII codes. You'll honestly probably have to go to a dealership and pay a "diagnostic fee" to find out which hub it is, then just do the work yourself.

Or you can try to find your own code reader, but the ones that do ABS also are good money.

I have this little beauty, paid more than this a couple of years ago, they've gotten cheaper. They do a fine job on those ABS codes on GM cars : Amazon.com: Actron CP9449 BrakeScan Anti Lock Brake System (ABS) Diagnostic Scan Tool: Automotive

And Chibi is right, no autozones have an ABS scanner, at least not where I live, hence I ended up with this.

That's a good price for an ABS reader!

A shop that has a good Snap-On brand diagnostic tool (not just a code reader) can also do this. The diagnostic tools from Snap-On are way more then just a code reader. So much more can be done with them..

Thanks for the tip. I'll order one of these. that's cheaper than having one scan. AND it will work for both of my vehicles.
