Tire & Rims Question

Looking at getting aftermarket rims that are 17x7.5 and was wondering if my tires I have on my car 235/55/17 would work on these rims? I looked at tirerack and they suggest 225/55/17 tires.

They'd fit, they'll just be a little more bulge on the sidewall. Nothing major I bet. Call your local tire place and just ask real quick. They should know off the top of their head.

235/55 will fit. i had 17x7 on 235/55. don't put 225/55 on, they are too small as far as height. there will be a big wheel gap you going to hate. the 235/55 will have gap too but not as bad as the 225/55.
