Default Tire Advice

So it turns out that the shaking on my front end is due to BOTH front tire's steel belts about to go!! My goodyear RSA's haven't been really good to me since i bought the car. This is 3 TIRES now since August '06. I was thinking about switching to Goodyear F1's instead. Any advice??

Wow. I wish I could afford F1's! Also, I just don't think the MC is a car at the performance level that needs that high end of a tire. Those tires areat a Z-06, Ferrari, etc. level. I think you'd be better off buying a good Hi performance tire and spending the rest on something else for the car. More bang for the buck, so to speak.

On my '02 SS I have eibach springs, KYB struts, and SLP sway bars. Even with those add on's I don't think I need F1's. I'm running Fuzion's right now and I hate them. Theyhandle well, but sound like mudgrips going down the road. I mean, loud enough to be VERY annoying. Everyone that rides in my car asks "what is that noise?" "What's wrong with your car?" If I wanted to hear mudgrips all day, I'd put some on my truck! I can't wait to replace them. Problem is,I expect them tolast 45,000 - 50,000 miles, and i only put 10,000 - 12,000 a year on the car.

I had Goodyears on another car and they lasted 28,000 miles. I put a second set on and, 28,000 miles. So, no more Goodyears for me, thank you!

Just my opinion.

Rchurch, i THINK we may be on different wavelengths with the "F1's". I'm talking about the Goodyear Eagle F1's. They're a lot cheaper than the tires that came on my Car(Goodyear Eagle RSA) and the opinions/reviews at Tirerack.com are good. Not sure what you were thinking, but it cant be the same tire i'm thinking about! lol Goodyear Eagle F1 All Season

Thanks for the advice though!!

Maybe I'm confusing them with another GoodYear tire. I thought the ones that come on exotic sports cars are called F1's and cost like $500 each. I don't look at tires that expensive, so it's easy to confuse me! lol

Let us know what you choose and what you think of them. Good luck!
