Default Need Tire Advice

Ok I need 225/35/20 inch tires

My options are

Nitto 420's

Nitto NT555

Toyo Proxes 4

Which tires should I go with and how are the above choices?

Also if anybody knows of a very good online place to buy tires the cheapest please post links to web sites I should buy from.

Discount told me 733-800 for new falken tires and I can get Nitto or Toyo for 500-600 for a set

Toyos are 535 on ebay

my friend can get Nitto 420's for 550

Please post your thougths, Thank You for the help

Have you tried tirerack.com? Also, if you can find a cheap price online, and print it, Discount Tire will usually price match. I just bought 4 new tire for my Monte, and found the ones I wanted on Tirerack, then Discount Tire matched the price from Tirerace.com......Also, the cool thing about Tirerack.com is you can look at reviews from other buyers of the tire, and see what they have to say. This may help you come to a conclusion.

When you go on to tirerack.com, you will want to search for tires by size, because if you do it by car, it will only come up with factory tire sizes, however, you can look up tires just by size.

You may even just want to order the tire directly from tirerack.com. I have done it before, and there shipping is really resonable, and you don;t pay sales tax, so its pretty much a wash. Tirerack is great, and shipping was really fast. I had my tires in 2 days!

I second tirerack.com . I am running General Altimax HP's that I got from them, and just love them.

The tires were $30 cheaper there per tire, I think shipping was $10 per tire, and then I had them mounted and balanced at the Saturn dealership for $11 per tire, and that included disposal of the old ones.

Tirerack also has a huge catalog of reviews on nearly every tire, written by people who use them everyday, as well as rating on the tires grip in various conditions.

Why 225's? You should be running 245/35-20's. 225s are too short.
Stock was 235/50-18 Goodyear RS-A, right? 27.3" tall. A BFG G-Force KDW in 245/35-20 is only 26.8" tall. General Exclaim UHP's in 225/35-20 are only 26.2" tall.

I just remembered that fletchers does alot of our companies owners cars and some work for the company I work for, went 5 min down the road and got a price fo just 10 dollars above dealers cost On Toyo Tires.

Also they offer the road hazard warranty just like you get with discount tire.

I am gonna get my tires there

we looked at my tires they are a 255/35/20 and we are going with that size
My friend at work has toyos and they have lasted him over two years and he still has tread left and he said they are awesome and he drives far distances to work.

I am going with Toyo Proxes T1R Or Toyo Proxes 4

any opionions on which ones I should go with out of the two?

Yay Getting Toyo Tires This week!

I am getting Toyo Proxes 4 For 480 for just tires

The Proxes T1r are 800 for a set of 4 and I save like $300 so I decided to be reasonable

They both are real similar in performance as a tire the difference is really only in the tread design and the Toyo Proxes 4 have longer treadwear, I get the most Bang for my buck

These are cheaper than nitto and falken and are way better

The treadwar is 300-aa-a instead of 280-aa-a and the price difference is $300

You really think I should go with the others plus the tire comparison on 1010tires.com is really close not kidding

Everybody I talked with said save the money and go with the proxes 4

I had like 4 good opinions at work and from the tire shop from all car guys and one person who has the toyo proxes t1r, he said their great but save the money and go with the cheaper set

I would like to go with the t1r but man $995 for tires is alot

when I can get the others for $700

these are with warranty taxes and installed totals
