Default strut trouble

Hi my name is Todd and I am new here I own a 2001 Monte Carlo SS and I am trying to remove the rear struts I have the nut removed on the strut to spindle bolts but I can seem to remove the bolts is there something I should know about this that I am missing? Thanks in advance for your help.

Are the bolts rusted in?

I know when i replaced my front sway bar the bolts were pretty badly rusted and hard to remove.

Just a silly thought.

Sounds like you need to pull out the BFH
BIG F#$*ING HAMMER TIME!!!!


put the nut back on to where it is just flush with the end of the bolt and give it some good whacks,

x2 on BFH. They should come right out after that.

thats exactlly what we did and damn it worked great....thanks for the idea todd

thank you all for your comments the bfh worked great we installed variable rate springs and gabriel struts (rear) looks great no more rear sag lol
