I want to get a strut tower brace.... the GM one is 22 dollars... not a bad price. But will it fit the S/C version?

I'm not a big fan of the GM designed STB (it requires addition holes and uses the sheet metal of the car to hold the brace, others use the actual struts to hold the brace).

As for the trailing arms, I put UMI trailing arms on my car. I have not noticed much difference in my daily use of my Monte except from a dead stop or goosing the gas on the freeway, it seems to have a slightly firmer launch (though I doubt any one else would notice). I am also an UMI Performance fan (I like the construction I have see of their products, especially for the F-Bodies).

WoW, and that's from GM at 22 dollars? That's a great price for a key piece of equipment!

http://drcustomparts.com/HomePage.htm

he can sell you the whole thing ... two gmpp bars and his own brackets and he modifies the front bar for those of us with less room under the hood ...

as a matter of fact im going to pick mine up this monday/ labor day as he lives about an hour from me and the gas is less than shipping :p

cant wait to take a couple on and off ramps a little faster after they get installed and i flip the motor mount bushing ... too bad i really need to do my brakes so i cant go play on the highway after but well see

When it comes to a noticeable gain, the rear STB is where its at. When it comes to the fronts, I say go with what looks and fits the best, they will all do the same job and you really wont notice a huge difference. Remember you will be seeing the brace every time you open the hood so looks are a big factor IMO. For the rear, as long as it fits and is sturdy, you really wont ever see it unless you bend down and look. The rear brace does effect handling alot more than the front one does. You will notice the rear doesnt want to sway around the corners as much, it just follows the front end more willingly.

So the ZZP braces DO fit on the monte's? Cuz i was all ready to order them up and i saw that it says "97-03 GP only" or somethin... So i just gotta take like a die grinder and make the holes a little bigger and the front one will fit?
