so using stock struts and bushings being a 5 on a scale of 1 to 10 - ten being the same as welding the axles in place with no give at all and 1 being a 1974 lincoln continental, where would you put stiffness the way you have your car set up?

im looking for maybe 8 but i also dont want to shake the car apart ....
Well I have the KYB's on their stiffest settings (4) so I don't roll so hard when cornering severely, and I still wish it was stiffer. I'm probably a good eight, but then I have been driving it this way for so long I have pretty much forgot how a stock Monte handles.

im old so this crap takes a while to register.

id think 17 or 18 inch wheels would create more clearance and less problems.

i personally want to stay with the same tire circumference.

the next tricky part since i dont think ill ever find oem 18 inch wheels with the 40 mm offset, will be wheels.

i wish the old keystone was still made.. 5 really shiny chrome spokes with black sides - the kind allmost all the hotwheels seemed to have....

Wow, that is quite the score there. Someone is going to be hugging the turns real nice now... Very nice KYB AGX complete package. New adj. struts, new strut mounts and then the sleeve cylinder covers / boots. You did not pull any punches.

If you are gonna do it, do it right and complete lol. I needed new struts anyway since I ruined my others last year on my annual trip to NJ, this years trip should be more comfortable.......and fun! lol

Can I use KYB AGX struts on an 03 SS MC that has 20 inch rims sitting on 245 35zr 20 95w tires? As it is right now the front tires fit great but the back ones rub a bit on the bottom of the spring of the Struts. And that's with nobody sitting in the back. I'm thinking about switching to 235 tires but wanted to know if those kyb agx's would perhaps remedy the rub.

My Monte has 124K on it with the original struts. I guess it might be time. I wonder why KYB says the AGX's are not for special handling package. My '02 is the Limited Edition so I assume it is "special". At least to me...
Rock Auto has the Excel- G Strut Plus for $104 each so that looks like a good option.
