Thank you! Yes I am going to paint them eventually. Kind of tight with money right now and this was just a quick job so yeah. But I will paint them blue and red I think!

The surface area of the brake pad is too big for them to notice the slots. The pad doesn't ride on the surface and then "fall" into the slots or holes. It covers a large enough area to avoid this. You will however wear through your pads faster because the slots and holes will eat at the pads more than a blank rotor.
