shocks

Default shocks

How does one find out which suspension your car has as there is two types FE2 and FE3 .The soft suspension FE2 and the sports suspension FE3 this determines the ride and which shock to get is it in the vin #

If you have an SS you should have the FE3 Suspension. Even if you have the 01, That's what you should put in. The bolt pattern is the same.

Put Monte Carlo History in your search engine and you can find a great deal of info on all generations of the Monte Carlo!

You can varify your suspension and other options on the RPO code sticker. I'm not sure all locations of the sticker on our Montes, but I know I have one on the inside of my trunk lid.

Mine is an SS and as JC mentioned, my SS has the FE3 is listed on my RPO code sticker.

I have I went to GMheritagecenter.com and printed everthing there is about a 2001 monte all the specs from bumper to bumber that is hoew I found out about the suspension and schocks it is very informative .If you look you have a 2004 it should be under the trunk lid some where near the tire sticker doe this help

Wasn't to happy with KYB's on the front looking for something better
