I have a 2002 Monte Carlo SS non-supercharged limited edition. I have been modifying my car for drag racing yet still being street legal, and I was wondering what would be the best lightweight yet stylish rims for my car? Or would keeping the stock rims be best?

I know of some people who use their stock rims for the strip, and have a nice set of aftermarket rims for street use. But those are people who are racing their modded daily driver. The interior is 100% intact. Their mods are all under the hood.
What is your intention for the car's main use? Mostly track, but still barely street legal so you can drive it to the track? Or do you need it for a daily driver?
There a few 4th gen Montes around town here that are just barely street legal so they can drive it to the track without a trailer. They've addressed the weight issue by gutting the interior and such. And only keeping what ever is necessary to be legal.
The rims you race with are going to take a little more abuse with the frequent tire changes and all. So I wouldn't use expensive stylish rims for racing. I would save them for the street. But that's just me. I'm not an expert on this.
