Default Rear end question

Ive seen some 7th gens where it looks like the rear end sits a lil higher than the front, like the butt is lifted a bit, but its stock suspension. Is that lifters causing that or is it just more air in the rear tires? Anyone else monte do this?

Are you talking about 7th gens in general?
Are you talking about your Monte?

Could be different springs instahled.... Could also be diferent tire sizes?

Larger in the rear and smaller in the front. (tire height)not the rim size...

Maybe... They put new struts on the rear?... Its really kinda hard to say to pin point just whats going on...

Dunno bro! Mine was Kinda like that, I guess wear and tear from the tires, after rotating, my front end sits a bit higher...But I guess your right, could be anything ! I see it in 6th gens and 7th gens..Mostly 6th gens cause 7th gens SS's are kinda rare to see around here, unless they are on huge rims.

All of the weight is in the front, springs could just not be compressing as much.

Mine sat higher, and was visibly higher, in the rear when it was at stock ride height on the stock suspension parts. I don't really get what all you're talking about though. There shouldn't be anything making it sit like that; that's how it sits at factory specs, with a little bit of rake. Just low air pressure in the tires should do nothing to the ride height unless the tires are basically flat.

What tire pressure do you ride on matt? I usually ride on about 34-36, but my tires look a bit flat, but they are not.

an old drag racing trick for the street racers is to lower the air pressure in the back tires so that they spread out a bit more and allow more tread to touch surface giving it a better grip, not sure if there is real world test results to back it up, but in serious drag racing the tire pressure is very closely monitored and adjusted for temperatures of the track, so there must be something to it.

as far as the car being higher in the rear end, it could have new rear suspension causing it to be higher. I personally used to run 14s on the front of my 81 buick regal and 15s on the back, plus air shocks to raise the rear end but I'm not certain if you can do too much to these cars to raise the back end, as I have honestly never even thought of doing so, not that I wouldn't as I prefer cars to look that way, just haven't thought of it. I believe a member JCcolon (I think that is his name, my apologies if it's wrong) has a 2 inch lift in the rear of his car, so he may have some insight in to this subject
