Default Ok another Rim question

Once again let me point out that I am new to the forum and owning a monte carlo..
I have a 2002 SS and have access to the S/C 17" 235/55/17 wheels/tires and was wondering if anyone that put these on had any problems??
Does the S/C have a diffrent suspension that the regular SS?
I assume there wouldnt be, but I also am old enough to know not to assume..
THANKS

Im not sure about the tire size but they sound like they will fit and no, the s/c does not vary from the SS suspension. I have 18" on mine if height is what your concerned about you should be fine hope this helps a lil!

You should be able to run those with no problems, but I believe the recommended width is 225 for us, so just keep an eye on the strut plate after you install them.

You will be fine with the 235 I think. Brock, member ENZO354 put the 17" Dale wheels on his 00 SS, and I think he has the 235/55/17 tires on it, and its working. You may PM him just to make sure everything was a bolt on.

thanks for the info,
the 235/55/17 are a little taller than the 225/60/16 but it wasnt hitting the strut plate but was a little tighter fit.
I still cant see why they wouldnt fit, but I have seen posts before about the dreaded strut plates on some wheels, and it never hurts to try to find out all one can..

I doubt you'll have any problem.
