New Tires, and TPMS question

i was wondering im running the 06 ss rims/tires on my 01 ss which does have tpms system but the 06 rims have it inside the tire and im sure my 01 is on the abs.do those tpms in the rims work on my car or or they useless,would they trigger my warning to go of in my car.

Not totaly sure but I would say you should be OK. I have only delt with TPS in the wheels. 75% of the time the system has to be reset when new TPS are installed but if you have existing ones, I'm not a machanic(SP) so I never saw the TPS on the ABS & never heard of them, the others shouldn't be seen by the computer. JMO.
