Yes they are Quick Struts. I don't know how long the old ones were bad. The were Bad when I bought the car 14 months ago. Then it took me almost 8000 miles before I had everything else in place so I could put new struts on. I got then from
CompleteStruts.com
They are in Florida. I used them first on the Saturn I hated. It had bad strut bearings. Then I replaced the rears on my wife's Lexus. Once I was Satisfied with those test vehicles, Lol, I got all 4 for my Monte. It cost me just over $300 for the 4.
You can find them in EBay for about the same price! But the shipping is longer. I got mine in 4 days and Free shipping!

Small correction:
These Quick struts are NOT Monroe struts. They look like an off brand. But I don't care. So far, I have been Very Pleased with the Improved ride of all 3 cars I have put them on!
Sorry bout my previous miss leading post!

I only have an Idea of how the car is supposed to ride from the 98 Monte LS I use to have. Will post results once it's. Done!

Go to CompleteStruts.com plug in your cars info and the struts and part numbers will come up. I can't. Take any pics cause my car is in the shop. Engine with no power, sputtering and bogging.

Dubs,
Here are the pick of the old and New struts w/the Rear Coil Spring Spacers Shown. And then a pick of YelloJAC in the local Wall-Mart parking lot. You can see how the rear is Subtly Higher than the Front. as I said earlier, the Ride is a little Stiff. More Sporty than Luxury! especially in the rear. And the center of Gravity is shifted slightly to the front. But I like it like that!

Thanks for the heads-up message about these pics, JC. This stuff looks solid. Glad you like the way it rides now; I would love a sportier suspension set-up. It's pretty unique that you put the rear up like that, and I'm all for it. Very, very cool. I love those wheels on your car too. How do you like them?

Looks sharp bud!

Dubs, After the 22s, the Provides took a little getting use to. But I like them. Now I need to paint my brake calipers. They feel good though. That's the important thing. And they do look good. At least That's what I'm told. I'm Really Happy with all the time and work I've put into it. It's now coming to a head. Upgrading is next. How's your car running?

Hello, thanks for the heads up as well as the pics and updates on the ride....

I went to the "complete struts.com" and hit the search button and put all the info in the search box (01 Monte Carlo Ss) and NOTHING shows up... What am I doing wrong ? Also, what is the part number of the left front, right front, left rear and right rear ? Thanks so so much... Michael...
