Default How low can you go??

Hey all,
I have a 2002 MC SS Dale Earnhardt Signature Edition. How low can I safely drop the ride height without causing any issues with tearing up the lower trim panels? I am going to keep the stock 16" wheels and tires as well.

I am looking at the kit from ZZPerformance which will drop the car 1.7 in front and 1.5 in rear.

Thoughts?

Thanks in advance

I dropped mine all the way around about that with the Eibach system, kept my stock 16's, running wider tires 255-50-16's, wheel spacers on the rear to clear the control arms and it rides with out any issues.

Zippy,
Thanks for your info. Car looks great! Any advantage to Eibach's over ZZPerformance? I like that the ZZP's come complete.

Drop in Strut/Lowering Spring Combo - Suspension & Brakes

Link is above.

I was going to go for the better AGX shocks. The combo set uses SSC springs for a 1.7" front drop and 1.5" rear drop.
Since the car needs balljoints as well, I would replace the control arms with the ZZP Tubular Control Arms.

Hey no fair, your going to get the ZZP tubular control arms? dang, so jealous, always wanted to do that mod. ill have to keep in touch with your threads and follow your mods. As you probably have found out the Eibach's are no longer available. The part number if you need it is 3886-140. One never knows if they show up on clearance or what ever. I too like the KYB-AGX's, gives you a real tight hard ride, but I don't even care, have them dialed in on the stiffest setting. Keep at it bud, your build is getting "Sic"

I feel like mine is already to low. Personally I wouldn't drop mine any.

That's cool because it is a personal thing. Mine feels even lower in that the race seats drop your sitting height by about 3inches, feels like I'm just scooting down the road, really feels like I'm at one with the road. Need a booster seat to see over the steering wheel and I'm 6'. I love it though, low rider.....
