Exclamation Help SoLow (or anyone else with knowledge)

im gonna try my best to explain whats going on with my car

i have 22in rims 255/30/22 to be exact. i have a lift kit but its a metal like plate thats
attached to the coil springs. im not sure the name of this part but its scrubbing against my tires and two have been ripped to screads alrdy!! a friend was telling me a u-bolt kit will lift that metal-like plate.. anyone know any truth to this before i go out and buy this kit.

hopefully SoLow can give some insight.. u seem to know alot

edit* i posted a pic of the metal part im talking about.

those tires are too wide

try some 245's or 235's

you could try running a spacer in the coil spring. how thick is that plate your using? like how much of a lift does it give you?

i think it's call struts seat.

Since you have the tires all ready pound up the strut plates, extra dough lift.

I don't know how you lifted it or what plate you are talk about but when I lifted mine I didn't have to do anything to strut mount plate cause it wasn't in the way here's a pic of how my strut looked after it was extended I photoshopped it.

I bolted the spindle back up to the two bottom wholes giving me more than enough clearance and the lift I needed to keep from hitting the plate

well after talking to a friend at a rim shop he used some kinda device to push my strut up.. he also said it was sitting low cuz i needed to replace them. but since he used the device to push up the metal im good... thanks guys
