I've got a 2004 SS NA. I have a grinding noise coming from my front right wheel area when I veer left. I've changed brakes and the hub and neither fixed the grinding noise. My CV boot is seeping grease so I suspect I found the issue.

Onto the main question, can anybody look up and tell me what all cars would have the same passenger side half shaft as my Monte? I've got a Pic-A-Part pretty close and I can get a half shaft a lot cheaper than new. If I change it and it works, I can consider a new one, but I figure I'll go cheap in the interim.

go to rockauto and look up the part and click on the part# and it will show you what other makes you can use.....

 

My question was intended to be more on a car level. As in, when I stand in front of a, say, 2004 Impala, will it have the same half shaft? What about a 2002 Grand Prix? I'm just postulating those two examples, but my question is across the board for GM products.
