I had the GM braces factory on my car and upgraded to the BMR front and rear STB's and there is a world of differance in the corner's. My advice would be to purchase the BMR braces before the GM one's, they are probably not that much more in price, and the performance differance is worth the money.

I have already ordered the GM ones and they were only a little over $26 for both of them shipped. Here is the part # I used. 12498648. I can always look at the BMR ones later if these don't seem to do anything. My car does not have any STB's on it currently so I should be able to tell some difference.

Oh you will notice some, the problem with the stock ones is that they are hollow and they only mount on the inside of the strut tower. For that price yeah you can't go wrong.

You'd notice it if you put them on now.. but, I don't think the same STB's work for you because of the LS4 alternator placement

Does anyone know how long it takes to get the brackets from Don Rome and does he send out a notice when he ships? I got my STB's yesterday so I'm just waiting for the brackets to show.

I have another question about the factory STB's. Mine did not come with any instructions so I'm not sure which way the bars are supposed to face given that one side of the bars is kind of rounded while one side is kind of flat. The bars did come with the bolts and nuts if I was going to be drilling in the strut towers but no instructions. Thanks.

I believe it is flat side toward the cabin. I can double-check for you later when I go out.

I think you are right. I found some pictures that kind of show them that way. I think I will probably put them on that way anyway, especially the one in the trunk. If you get a chance to check I would appreciate it.
