ok I bought the dorman #927-100 front sway bar from rock auto, it says 33 or 34 mm? it is heavy and solid! my question is: I want to put the poly bushings on it, but do I order 33 or 34 mm bushings?? moog has both for a cheap price just don't want to start this and have the wrong ones!! Ugghh!! 2003 Monte pace car, any help appreciated guys and gals!!

 

Drop the subframe. You don't have to completely remove it, just loosen the bolts until it drops an inch or two. The stabilizer bar will easily slide into place. You don't have to sit the car on it's rear bumper or pop the tie rods loose. Remember to replace the end links in addition to the frame mounts. If you are mechanically inclined it's about a 20 minute job.

 

If you are worried about the poly bushings being the right size, see if you can take the new sway to the parts store and test fit some. I have a stock sway and did poly bushings and end links. Here's the write up I did on it:

Also, I highly recommend Energy Suspension sway bar end links, part number 9.8122r, for this job

 

I did this a couple years ago and now the problem Im having is the sway bar links getting "chewed up?" did I install wrong? the only thing I can see is that the sway bar ends seem to curve up? is there a top or bottom to these?? getting knocks and bumps when hitting small bumps etc! I have replaced front control arms,inner and outer tie-rods,sway bar ( Dorman ) and end links ,first with poly then with rubber??

 

any help guys ??

 

If you are talking the end links, there is a specific top/bottom of the bushing and the washer for the bushing.
