Hi Guy,
Are the drive axles on the Impala the same as the 00-05 Monte SS?

Hay Space
I'm finding the gear ratio, 3.27 in the 3800 motor, makes a difference in the axle. I still don't an answer, But I'm getting closer!

I am pretty certain the '00-'05 Monte and Impala use the same axle shafts.

I believe the only difference comes into play if you are dealing with a car that has a HD trans (found on the SuperCharged 3800). One axel shaft is shorter on the HD trans because it has to account for the bigger differential.

The aftermarket shows the same axle fitting the Monte and Impala. They do offer 2 options though - one has a 33mm axle nut and one has a 34mm axle nut. As long as the axle you're looking at has the same size nut as your original it should bolt right in.
