So my car does NOT have the special handling package, does this mean that I COULD use the struts for the special handling cars, and basically slightly upgrade my handling??? Or do I need to stick with the rear shocks designed for non-special handling cars?

Thanks.
For your car is says you can upgrade to the (Special handling package) front an rear. Plus from what Thumping said that he put them on his 2000 that leads to believe that the suspension from 2000-2007 didn't change at all or not enough that its going to matter for putting on aftermarket struts.

After reading this thread it did jog my memory...I do remember reading that for 04 ss supercharged they lowered it 10 mm (one centimeter or about a third of an inch) for the FE4 package or the sport package is what they called it I think. So yes, my car from the factory is lowered but not euff to really notice. That is probably why they have two different sets. Anyways I hope this helps.

That sucks! So that probably means that FE4 suspension or the KYB struts for the 2004-Up will not fit!

Or they will and your car will sit just a hair lower then it did before. They probably just have to have a different strut for the FE4 equiped cars and market it for those cars but that doesn't mean that you can't put it on your car.

if you were looking for performance, i would look into stiffer springs than the struts. springs hold the weight of the car and give a little bit better handling as far as ive been told
