Default Brakes- Go big or go home??

Ok I really want to upgrade my brakes big time, I just dont feel like the factory ones nearly cut it. I was curious though if a set of camaro or firebird rotors would match up to our bolt patern on the 6th gen montes? I know zz performance makes a bigger kit, but camaros have a lot more options with that so if someone could throw me some input I would really appreciate it!

check out this thread:

this is just a very quick search i did. i'm sure you'll be able to find more using the search feature. there are a handful of members that use F-body brakes on their monte, so you should be able to find something, but the thread above should be a start at least.

SilverBullitt did a C5 corvette swap, if you REALLY want some good stopping power.

But I agree with above, do the F-Body conversion and call it a day. It bolts right up (just need 17" rims or above) (I mention that, because I don't know what winter rim you have)

Also, the ZZP upgrade, if you are talking about the 12" upgrade, that's just because grand prixs came stock with 11", our Montes came with 12" stock.

There ya go, you could also just hang around some forums and try to get a set from people upgrading their brakes

"Sorry. There was some problem with the data."

linky no worky.

That's OK though, I think I found it. It's so stupid that Powerslot only makes the front rotors for our cars.

either way you can go to zzperformance.com click on grand-prix and in the search box just type F-Body and you'll get the link.

you'll be fine with 16" wheel too. 16" wheel is the smallest you can fit. don't buy from zzp they too expensive. go to junk yard, craigslist, or LS1tech.com you can get a good deal there. i paid $100 for my C5 front and back calipers from craigslist.
