They make rear Powerslots for our 5th gens! I have a set. Here's one link:

Honestly, put on a set of stainless brake lines, Powerslot rotors, and Hawk HPS pads and call it a day. IMHO, the F-body calipers aren't worth the money. I wouldn't do it again. The Hawk pads work SO great! The problem with the dual piston calipers is that they take SLIGHTLY more fluid to operate, so you have SLIGHTLY more pedal travel. They work good, but thenI never had any problem before the conversion. ABS kicks in anyway. You NEVER lock up your brakes, EVER!
The biggest advantage I see is that the F-body pads are 2x as big as stock, therefore you have more surface area to dissipate the heat better. If you can find the dual piston calipers, brackets, and bolts used, do it. Otherwise just upgrade to the stainless hoses, Powerslots, and Hawk HPS pads and call it a day.

BTW, don't forget to paint your calipers red, it adds 10 HP! . . . . . . LOL!

Well another plus for the F-Body is just the fact that they are much lighter.

Forgot about that! They are a TON lighter! Well maybe not technically a ton, but pounds lighter. Probably half the weight.

I just weighed a bare stock caliper. No pads. 12 lbs ea. I don't think the F-body calipers weigh only about 4 lbs each.
BTW, the brakes I have now came from my '01 SS LE. 16" wheels came stock. 12" rotors were stock..

I know the 12" rotors clear the 16" rim, I just thought the F-Body caliper didn't clear it.

http://www.scacgp.com/mods/F-BodyBrakes.htm

Claims to be a 4.3 pound different between calipers.

To one of the OP's questions,

The front 12" rotors from the 98-02 camaro/firebird are identical to the front rotors on an '00-05 Monte.
Only the caliper/pad was different.

That might be true about the F-body calipers not fitting 16's. Didn't think about that. I just knew the rotors came from my '01. Sorry 'bout the confusion.

that's false Fbody calipers WILL fit 16" wheel.

here is a thread on if you want to do the 2006 plus impala/monte carlo 12" brake instead.
