Default Brakes?

I didnt see a spot for brakes but mabe im blind this kinda seems like a good spot. My brakes are squealing and im sure they just need to be turned, but if notwhat would you guys suggest they are all discs right? I have changed brakes befor but it was awhile back. You dont need special tools do you, i remember something for taking off springs but that was for a drum. i do need a tool for spreading the pads or what ever right?

I would suggest that you drive to the nearest AutoZone or other National Chain Auto Parts Store and buy, for yourself, your very own, personal copy of the Haynes Workshop Manual covering your Monte Carlo.

If the Manual costs you $20.00, let's say ... Twenty bucks is a fraction of what you'd pay some Shop, for Labor, to get your Brakes relined with new Brake Pads. You saved money buying the Book. Therefore, the Book effectively pays for itself. You pay 20-Bucks ... save over 2-Bills ... so, the Book actually lets you keep a hundred-eighty-bucks in your pocket.

How to do the Brakes is just one of the many fun things you can do to save even more money.

You ought to be sending me 50-Bucks just for saving you all this dough.

1st - here is a write up I did on how to install brakes and rotors.
2nd - there aren't any drum brakes to worry about - all disc.
3rd - no special tools except maybe a breaker bar - this is in the walkthrough.
4th - probably the best package setup is the Powerslot Rotors and Hawk Pads. You can get them from www.3800performance.com. It maybe cheaper to find them seperately on summit-racing.com or half a dozen other website, but I like to support the direct community and have a one-stop-shop for any problems.

$500 for this package that I got.
