brake concern

Default brake concern

i recently installed some ls1 calipers n my 02 monte n now im having braking issues...ive bled all 4 wheels n there r no leaks...anythin i can inspect on the caliper?...or any idea what can cause my pedal to remain soft n spongy...

brake lines? Might want to get some stainless brake lines.

Got any pics of your ride?

you might have air or leak some where. i would bleed it again and have someone look for any leak while you pump the pedal. you running goodrich brake lines? those are stock size line. you will need to bend down the bracket to give the line little slack cuz if you don't the lines will likely stretch and pull when turning corner which will result to cause it to leak. also can't give the line to much slack either cuz it will rub on the tires. this is for the front only btw. the back line is same size as stock so don't have to bend any brackets. after adjusting the brackets turn the wheel all the way to the left/right to be sure there's enough slack and not rubbing on the tire. do the same for the other front side. hope this help.

My suggestion would be that if you know a mechanic that you trust, and won't charge to much, or a brake shop in your area. Have them do a vac/bleed on your brake system. Seems to do a much better job than the old pump and bleed.
