So now that #8 is #88, what next, a #88 MC, or are you just gonna leave it painted up with the #8?

I did that photoshop a while ago. I don't really care for the Amp green on the Monte. So the green looks more like the Interstate Batteries green.
I also kept the DEI stripes because I think they look cool. So the only really accurate part of my chop is the number of 8's on the rear pillar.

As for really changing it tho, keeping it 8 and red makes our Dale Jr cars vintage!

Kinda like a throw-back jersey?

I realized if I took the DEI stripes off (the picture), you just got a green Monte with an 88 on it. I suppose if someone was to actually do it to their car, they could take some hints from the Jeff Gordon Montes. Put the Hendrick Motor Sports logo on the ground effects. Also, use the more accurate looking 88 instead of the DEI 8.

But purists will tell you that making a Junior 88 Monte is completely wrong since the Hendrick's 88 car is supposed to be an Impala. The only Monte he ever drove was the DEI Monte.

Although I don't generally like green on cars, that Interstate Battery green on the Monte doesn't look too bad. Especially with the stripes. But don't expect me to be making an appointment at Maaco anytime soon.

Not a fan of green. We actually have quite a bit of current Jr stuff, including an autographed die-cast. National Guard sent us 3 or 4 large boxes of stuff, 200 posters, 44 hats, 4 t-shirts, the die-cast, and a LARGE mini-hood, all National Guard sponsored. Gave a lot of it away, but not all. Most hats went to kids and a group of WWII N.G.vet's that had a re at the local VFW. Mini hood is pretty cool, just don't know where to put it. I think it would look good at the VFW. But it's NOT green.
