Looks good but pricey. There are cheaper alternatives tho like the dual piston f body calipers

Right! But I read somewhere that these could be quad pistons tho, that's how i found them. If they are dual pistons tho might as well go with the f body brake kit no doubt!

I can't say I drove a Monte with upgraded calipers, but I contemplated the F-Body dual piston swap.... I decided to skip on the idea. Reasons:
- Some inconsistency readings in posts where people did the swap (and it can be argued they did something wrong, they are too picky, a number of factors).
- F-bodies putting out more torque and HP then my Monte have single piston calipers (such as an '89 Turbo Trans Am or my friend's '94 Formula Firebird). And they brake perfectly fine in high performance situations since they are equipped with good pads and rotors.

In the end, I upgraded my flex lines to braided stainless steel, put on AC Delco Advantage rotors and Bendix performance ceramic brake pads all the way around. At this point, I feel my Monte's brakes handle far better then they did originally. I have zero want to upgrade calipers.

BTW - Even though the F-bodies I mentioned are single piston all the way around, I know they offer aftermarket upgrades for a reason (as they do on our W-Body cars). I'm not trying to say that upgrading the caliper would not have an effect, I'm just saying I don't know if the effect is worth the cost (especially if you do not race the car).

Just try to do some research, ask those who have done the mod and get a feeling for it before spending big dollars on it.

F body is the way to go for a brake upgrade, they work fine for me and ive had to use em for quick stops where the stock wouldnt of stopped as good, ive got $90 in mine so not like it breaks the bank like the bear setup u posted which is a dual piston caliper, they look like C4 vette calipers, if you want 4 piston calipers the Camaro Brembos might work, aparently they bolt right up to 4th gens which is where we get the dual pistons from

The F body calipers work fine on my 2005 Monte SS.
I bought them on ebay for $75 shipped to my house..
Here's a pic. I have no problems with them..
