Default Bent front strut-core braces

When I was changing the oil in my '03 MCSS the other day, something caught my eye. The tubular bars connecting the radiator support to the struts were bent - like I was in a front-end collision (which never happened). I don't have any pictures (on business for a few days), but I'll substitute with the closest thing Google provides. Both sides look the same.

What I want to know, is how this happens.

Edit: I know they weren't like that before, and I also noticed that the passenger-side one appears twisted on the front.

If you are talking the diagonal braces, they have bends in them from the factory. It's possible nothing is actually wrong. But if you can take pics of the actual issue and upload them we might be able to tell you more.

They do have some contours and that's how they're manufactured. This is what they should look like.

I'm at ease now, that's exactly how mine look. A GM mech tried convincing me my car had been in a front end collision by the condition of the strut-core braces. Thanks everyone!
