I cant wait to see what the car will do on drag slicks. I would definately go with the smallest wheels you can fit over your brakes. That being said, unfortunately I think you will break the trans the first time you launch on slicks. I hope it doesnt but I have a bad feeling it will. I wish they would have put the 4t80e behind(beside lol) the LS4 instead of the 4t65e.

if you can launch good you shouldn't have any problem getting the slicks to hook. you going to spin too if you stomp on the gas. i guess if you not concerning on breaking anything, go for it. you gonna have to go into the water box and heat up them slicks to get them to stick. hopefully the axle or input shaft won't snap or you going to have a long trip home.

X2. The GXP bonnevilles with the 4.6 N* V8 (only 275 hp/ 300 tq) got a 4t80. Too bad they couldn't have found a way to do that on the LS4 cars.

Kinda funny- on LS1tech there are a bunch of people starting a complaint list to the national highway safety board and GM about LS4/4t65 tranny failures.

you might want to ask this question on tech if you havent already. there are quite a few guys over there running radials and full blown slicks. you might want to search out a member i believe his name is supercat7 or something along those lines. since i believe he has the fastest documented fi ls4 car.
