28's or 30's?
Hello everyone. I was wondering what all must be done to fit 28's or 30's on my 2002 Monte Carlo ls. I know many will say why or that's dumb. But it's what I want to do. So if anyone on here has done it, what do I have to do? I don't want my car above the rims. I plan to cut the wheel sells to make them fit. But someone, please help. Or, how much would a body shop charge to do this? A place like coast to coast customs in Florida? Thanks. I'm buying the rims if a shop is doing it. I just need help installing.

I'm not sure if there is anyone currently on MCF that has done wheels large enough to require moding the wheel wells.
I've seen on some cars the fenders and ground fx need cut wider. There may also be a host of suspension changes required.
In addition to asking here, you may also want to drive over to some specialty shops that cater in that type of business. They may be able to give you advice on what to do, sell you the parts or offer a full quote to do the work.
BTW - You're not dumb for wanting wheels that large. It's style that interest a lot of people. That being said, it's not a style that interests me. Regardless, good luck on getting the info you need.

Tags the other problem. Around here, no one has larger rims than I do. There are no local shops who could help me. That's why I'm trying on here lol. There is one other vehicle in town with 26's but that is also a truck. Not car. And I don't wanna drive 1000 miles to Florida lol

Check some videos on youtube, i know ive seen few montes on there with 28s but no 30s ( for a 6th gen) and you can try and get in contact with the owners or the uploader of the video. You will definitely have to cut bumpers and fenders as well and cant even imagine how many other things inside the wheel well since your not wanting the car above the rims. Good luck!

I know I have to find a way to lower the strut bar, modify the stunts and make them longer, cut the wheel wells and bumpers, and just get everything in the wheel well lowered. But hopefully there's a kit for all of this
