Default 245/45-17 on stock rim?

Does anyone know if 245/45-17 will fit the stock 17" rims? I need to get tires and would like a little more width. Not to mention, this size is also cheaper than the stock 235/55-17. Had considered a whole new rim/tire package but not really in the mood to drop $1000+ right now on that, got other things to take care of.

Thanks

245/45/17 is a bad choice, it's 5.5% different than your stock size.

245/50/17 is wider than stock, but still almost 2% smaller, so your speedo will still be off.

Went with stock size. Feels much better, now to get to replacing the struts. Thinking I'm going with the ZZP drop in package.

2x on that i would get some thing more compatible to the ride the hight of tire the 55 part because it will throw the speedo off if you lower the hight from 55 to 50 or lower. i have 225/55/16 i have a full size spare with a 225/45/16 the spare threw it off a little when i had the spare on it

If you are changing the width, the height is a percentage number so don't think the height is a set variable.

There are some online tire size calculators and even phone apps that I check whenever considering a change in tire size. They tell you how far the speedo will be off, the difference in height/width/revolutions per mile, etc.
