FYI - Not sure what the parts cost for your rear trailing arms is, but for I believe $100, you can get UMI Performance (what I have), BMR or a few other performance brand tube steel trailing arms. Just a thought.

Lateral Links??? There is no such thing. There are sway bar end links (they are two ball joints that connect with a think rod between then and the one joint bolts to the sway bar, hence "sway bar end links"). The laterals go from the center cradle to the knuckle (2 per side). And the trailing arms connect to the knuckle and a bracket bolted forward on the body.
If you are talking the sway bar end links, they are fairly easy to change (did mine this year). It's pretty much unbolt them, swap them and bolt the new ones in. I believe as you unbolt them, there is a spot to squeeze a wrench into so you can hold the stem from spinning (about the only trick to them).
If that's what needs replaced, I recommend getting the MOOG ones with the grease fittings. They don't cost a lot, the grease fittings allow you to periodically lube them to extend their life and best of all, the connecting rod is thicker then stock (so it makes a "tiny" upgrade to what you had to begin with).

Lateral links are bars that run from the middle of the car to the back of the wheel where everything else is. This is what belle tire told me and i crawled under my car to look and there are a couple of them that are really bent up. Here is a link to a new part on rockauto.

OK, looking at the part you shared, I've never heard them called "links", just lateral arms. But that's what I thought you'd find wrong. Common reason they get bent up is when people try to jack the car up on them.
Hope all is resolved one they are changed and the car is re-aligned.
