Default Rear end "wiggles" when i hit bumps on the road?

Hey, i've gotta 07 SS and if i hit a decent size crack in the road, the rear end feels like it wiggles left to right. Any ideas? Don't have any wheel bearing noise, and the bearings feel solid if i pull side to side on the wheels. It's just this really annoying rear end wiggle when i hit cracks in the road.

My assumption is that you need to check all of your suspension parts for rust, make sure everything is tight, make sure all the bushings are okay. etc.

the same thing is happening to me on my 04 dale jr. I had it looked at by a ceritified shop in the local area and I was told the rear trailing arms are shot. so I will be replacing my trailing arms with some BMR tubular trailing arms from 3800 performance.

Another item to check, your struts. My '02 would 'wiggle' going down the highway, without hitting bumps. New struts fixed it. Not saying it is them, but just something to think about.

only time i ever had this wiggle happen was driving a 1999 lumina recently. this happened at 90 driving cross country. got bad to the point i thought i had blown out a tire. pulled over to see the all tires inflated and rear trailing arm had rusted to the point that it broke.

My rear end wiggled all winter, felt like I was driving a rear wheel drive honestly. The left rear trailing arm going from the wheel at an angle up to the frame was bent. Check all your trailing arms perpindicular and parallel with the vehicle.
