18s or 20s

i want rims but have to wait till next year unless i buy used.
why would you have to have the speedometer calibrated twice a year? if at all? if you go with a larger size rim you go with a tire with a shorter sidewall. +1 -1. so if you went from 18s to 20s and your sidewalls were 55s you would go to 35s or as close as possible. or run a tire that would put you at the same diameter as your old set up. no need to calibrate.

thats the thing. it doesnt look good to you, but might to others. i think 20's look better on a monte and other w-body cars because its a wider body, bigger wheel well car. 20's fill up the large *** void our cars, while 18's will look smaller on the car. like others have said; they bigger the rim, the harder your trans has to work to get it moving and other various other problems you COULD have.
