Default 95 Monte-no maf sensor?

So, in the process of diagnosing the miss my engine has, I am replacing the map sensor, tps sensor, iac valve, egr valve, and was gonna replace the maf sensor, but I see no maf sensor. I know the motor was a replacement a couple years ago. Was there a few years in the mid-90’s where there was no maf sensor? I cannot find the plug if there is supposed to be one, but I am replacing the factory air box with a CAI here soon. Just curious if what I am seeing is correct or not. Thanks in advance.

Im not too sure about anything other than 6th gens but..

Isnt it the big square/round thing thats inline of the intake?

It should look like this if you have the 3100/3400

Im not sure if this is the exact one, and I dont recommend duralast because ive never tried their stuff myself so cannot give an opinion on it..

BUUUT, thats what it should look like..

Default Maf sensor

I know what I am looking for...lol. And if you google 95 Monte maf sensor, the canister with the sensor in the middle comes up. I will get a pic when I get home, hopefully other members will play the game of let’s find the maf sensor. Thanks for the help, I do appreciate it. I am pretty well versed on GM cars, this one kinda threw me for a loop.

Maf should be between the air filter and the engine located in the rubber hose going between the two if I remember right.

That engine does not use a MAF. I believe part of the reason is it is prior to ODB-II. That same 3100 in the 95 Monte was used on the 94/95 Grand Am, no MAF. The sensor in the air intake tube is a temp sensor.

What threw me was if you google 95 Monte maf sensor, it shows a whole list of them, same on eBay and Amazon. Couldn’t figure out why it listed them, and they aren’t even used. Fricken google...

Here is what I can tell ya. My motor was replaced a couple years ago. Not sure what vehicle the donor motor was out of. I even went on autozone website and it lists a maf sensor for the Monte. I am wondering if I have a 94 or slightly older motor in it.
