Default 2006 Monte Carlo LS - Build

So what the heck, figured I'd just create a thread for this car. I don't plan to do much to this car, but I am making it my own. I'll create a little checklist here and start with the build:

1.) Debadge - DONE
2.) LED's all around - DONE
3.) 20% Tint all around
4.) Dual exhaust - 4" tips
5.) Overkill tune
6.) Dip upper grille gloss back - Partly Done

Here's the car the day I got it:

I started with just getting the car (as most of you have seen) and I did a wash/wax and threw in some interior LED's and reverse lights from the old Monte, along with the auto-dimming rearview mirror:

I also then started the debadging of the trunk, then got bored, so it I waited for my rubber decal remover tool to come in:

Finally got in the LED's for the tail lights, the license plate light, switchbacks for the front turn signals and the 6000k 55w HID's:

With the turn signal on:

Factory tail light bulbs:

LED tail light bulbs:

All LED tail lights:

HID's at night:

All LED's in the rear at night (lower tail light bulbs are halogen in this pic, I had trouble with my decoders to eliminate hyper flash. Working on the company with this right now):

And finally finished the debadging on the trunk, turned out good I think:

I'm going to order the exhaust that I want shortly, after I send the Rambler heads to the shop. I'll keep this thread updated

SS rear bumper and y-pipe for the exhaust should be added to the list

EDIT, I see you want the dual exhaust already... nevermind

Do you recall the old 'uno' days with the last car?

I don't want to do the rear bumper though, I just want a little bit of sound with some magnaflows and some better looks. Other than that, she's just getting driven

So I made some progress - I got a new steering wheel with the radio controls along with a dual zone climate control:

Took me a little bit before I finally made the time to install them, but I got them installed last night:

Also, got the front grille finished up and installed again, looks much better in my opinion:

I will be ordering exhaust stuff here shortly and probably getting the tint done as well.

So the wheel with all the controls and the dual climate control panel, straight swaps and all works properly? NICE UPGRADES!!

Amazing how sometimes the littlest things can just make a world of difference.

I am honestly not a fan of that shifter and center console. I like a t-shifter most of the time. I sometimes wondered if the '00-'05 console and shifter would be a direct swap.

Do they have leather ***** for the 06/07's? I was wondering, but I hadn't seen anything. This shifter design just sucks. lol

Thanks! I bought this one and was dailying both for a bit - just making this one a little more comfortable.

All a direct swap and I'm enjoying them like crazy it makes it feel like a whole new car to be honest.

I hate the center console and the shifter just looks like a straight afterthought - I want to see if I can get a better shifter option.
