$48,000 Damn. Can't wait to see the price on the Challenger

Guess I'm going to wait about 7 years to get a used Challenger....then add Twin Turbo
Challenger is still on schedule to start hitting the showrooms in about six months (as 08 models), but I haven't seen any pricing info. For the base Hemi, I can't imagine the sticker price being too far from a loaded Mustang GT. Dodge says this is going to be a low-production car, and therefore no V-6 models will be produced. It will be interesting to see how that works out for them, in that Ford sells a bunch of V-6 Stangs. http://www.dodge.com/en/2008/challenger/

For the first year or so, people are going to be lined up to buy these things at thousands over the sticker price - regardless of what gas prices are doing. As for me, I'll be waiting a few years for the bugs to get worked out, and the prices to cool down.

And btw, now that I'm familiar with my 06 SS, and as long as I'm running Amoco Ultimate gas, I fear no late-model stock Mopars on the street today, with the following exceptions:

1. Vipers, of course.

2. Any SRT-8 or SRT-10.

3. Crossfire SRT-6 (they're so rare, you never see them on the street anyway).

I wouldn't even try against any of the above. Asfor the rest? Bring'em on.
