We actually added door bars after I took those pictures so it was even more serious when finished, lol. I think a 6 point cage was necessary for 11s at the kids local track and we just went a step further and made it an 8 point. The goal with the car was to run at the strip and autocross. He planned on putting a K20 in the car and going all motor. I dont know what he has done with it since. I havent seen the car since I left school.
